These 4 films by Perdo Almodovar changed Spanish cinema forever.

Volver is the 2006 film staring Penélope Cruz, Carmen Maura and Lola Dueñas. It tells the story of a mother who returns to her home town to fix some problems of the past – but only after she has died.

All About My Mother was made in 1999 and starred Cecilia Roth, Marisa Paredes and Candela Peña. It tells the story of Esteban who wants to find out about his father, but the truth is hidden by his mother.

Bad Education from 2004 stars Gael García Bernal, Fele Martínez and Javier Cámara. It is a gritty account of sexual abuse and religious schooling from the Franco-era and tells the story of how two old friends coped and come to terms with their bad education.

Talk To Her is the 2002 film about 2 men who develop a friendship while both caring for their comatose girlfriends. It stars Rosario Flores, Javier Cámara and Darío Grandinetti.
